Hundreds of people ask us about Chain React, and it’s hard to condense why this is the highest positive impact React Native conference you can attend, but I’ll give it a shot.

The acclaimed Chain React — the US React Native conference will return to Portland, Oregon on May 17 (workshops) and May 18–19 for single-track React Native talks in the grand Portland Center Stage at the Armory. And this one is looking bigger and better.

There will be talks from Meta, Amazon, Expo, Shopify, and many more.

The conference has optional workshop tickets (limited), coffee code-pairing sessions, and countless networking opportunities. If your goal is information, you’ll have close proximity to hundreds of the brightest. If you’re looking to hire, you’re in the right place, too!

Chain React prides itself on being a welcoming, friendly, and professional conference for all things React Native! This fourth year of the conference will deliver all the benefits of years past, with a little extra.

The Talks

While the lineup can’t be completed until we’re done with the CFP, we’ve already got some of the best speakers and influencers for React Native on the roster. You’ll see demonstrations, announcements, and key secrets from the largest companies and the most entertaining speakers.

The hardest part about having speakers apply to Chain React is finding who to say “not this year” to. We have to save our talk spots for a high bar of React Native specific talent and talks.

We’ve already announced a few invited speakers that we’re excited about!

BUT, there are plenty more that we’re about to announce! We’ll continue to report speakers on our Chain React Twitter!

Our single-track format allows you to settle in and focus at our gorgeous venue: Portland’s Armory theater. Profession emcee, Kenneth LaFrance (a teacher, comedian, and awarded speaker) will host the show and entertain the audience between talks.

Chain React’s auditorium has fast internet, comfortable seating, excellent visibility and audio, and, most importantly, plenty of breaks for coffee. It’s the ideal conference environment.

The People

Just like the theater is half the building, the stage is only half the reason for you and your team to attend Chain React. The Theater’s lobby is filled with vendors, React Native software developers, and conference speakers.

Countless long-lasting connections, job offers, open-source ideas, and more have been born in this breathtaking theater space lobby.

Bonus: This year, Test Double has taken on the Coffee Sponsorship and will be providing free pairing sessions at their booth to help answer your most difficult React Native questions with an expert!

With premium food, drink, and space in the Theater lobby, there’s no doubt why this is the most effective place to pioneer and network.

Even while the conference is in full-swing, you can always hear chatter in the beautiful lobby of the Armory PCS.

Something pretty unique to the conference is that each year we have our “Hot Swap” table, which is littered with stickers, business cards, swag, and even prizes!? Bring your best to leave on the table and take what you want.

This table is a designated async swap-and-share station for information, swag, and more. Bring your company’s stickers and custom swag to share.

The “Hot Swap” table is always located centrally on the mezzanine and evolves hour over hour.

A Quick Note About Portland, Oregon

It would be wrong to hang the art and neglect the frame, especially here. The conference is located in the Portland Pearl District and is overflowing with countless food and coffee options.

Chain React is next to the iconic Powell’s City of Books bookstore, which is the largest used and new bookstore in the WORLD! It occupies an entire city block. Next door to the conference is a Starbucks Reserve, and on the other side is one of the most popular restaurants in all of Portland (Deschutes).

Some conferences are held far away from the city, but this one is in the heart of it.

The conference afterparty is going to be at the Expensify office located next to the conference hotel. It’s an absolutely gorgeous space and a must-go event!

The Workshops

Lastly, one of the essential features of Chain React is that it’s an excellent place to level up an entire team or an individual. The conference talks are wide-ranged, entertaining, and informative, but if you’re looking to go that extra mile, you’ll want to snag a workshop.

The workshops are the place to get practical information and high-bandwidth training. We’ll teach you, feed you, and answer your questions.

The workshops are held in the C Level of the official Conference hotel. This makes it extremely easy to fly in, rest up, and head down on May 17th to level up your React Native skills (if you have a workshop ticket).

There are three levels of workshops currently available, but selling out fast. The workshop tickets are a special ticket for Chain React, and once a workshop is sold out, there’s no way to get a spot.

Chain React with the workshop is a catapult experience for any React Native dev or team. All three workshops will have friendly expert assistants and the latest information on their respective topics.

Again: A conference-only ticket does not get you access to the workshops; you have to pick one of these up before the room fills up.

Time to Buy

I could talk about Chain React all day, but there comes the point where you need to ship it!

More information will continue to hit our website, but May is only a hop-skip-jump away. It’s a great time to grab your ticket, book your flight, and book the conference hotel discount while you can.

Sponsorship opportunities have flown off the shelves, so if you’re looking to sponsor, spots are filling up quickly. This is a snapshot of our sponsorship at the time of this writing.
