Cutting-Edge Ideas, Top-Notch Speakers, and All The React Native You Can Handle at Chain React 2018

--

Chain React 2018 is coming back to Portland, Oregon for Round Two of all things React Native, and here are 10.5 reasons why you HAVE to go this year!

1. Exposure to Cutting-Edge Ideas & Advances in React Native from Top-Notch Speakers

You’ll have a chance to hear cutting-edge ideas and learn about advances in React Native that will give yourself, your team, and the company you work for a competitive advantage.

Our speakers are amazing—you’ll hear from people like Kent C. Dodds, Tracy Lee | ladyleet, Vladimir Novick, Peggy Rayzis, and more. (Follow us on Twitter as we unveil the speaker lineup!)

2. Meet Industry Leaders in React Native

Chain React 2018 is your chance to meet industry leaders from Walmart, Big Nerd Ranch, Intuit, LenDesk, Salesforce, Nerd Wallet, Microsoft, Callstack, Squarespace, Facebook, and many others. Hear why they are using React Native in their companies and how they are using open-source projects to build large-scale systems.

3. Expect a Sold Out Crowd

Last year, Chain React was well-attended with 20 speakers, six panelists, and 400 attendees from all over the world. This year we are expecting to sell out. Since the venue holds fewer than 600 people, you will be surrounded by passionate developers who care as much as you.

I’d like to thank the Infinite Red team for providing the attendees with such a smooth experience — great people, great food, great location. We listened to some great talks and met amazing engineers from all over the US. Overall a great success!

– André Neves, Chain React 2017 Attendee

4. Attend a Workshop to Take You Deeper into React Native

Whether you are new to React Native or an expert, two workshop tracks are available to take you deeper into React Native. Beginners will get their development environments set up, learn the terminology, and build an app. Advanced workshop attendees will get a glimpse at React Native Windows and build a smart home app.

There are a few seats left for the Beginner Track Workshop. Due to high demand, we just doubled (YES, DOUBLED) the number of seats for the two-part Advanced Track Workshop. Gather your team and get ’em before they’re gone.

5. Bask in the Sunshine and Beauty of Portland, Oregon in July

While the conference itself is held at the beautiful Gerding Theater at the Armory, Portland in July is full of sunshine and happy people—not to mention an unlimited supply of fun things to do around town from coffee, breweries, food carts, and doughnuts to outdoor activities and taking in the Pacific Northwest scenic sights. Need a few ideas? Check out our list of suggestions.

6. Discuss the Hottest Trends and Spend Time with Colleagues, Friends, and the Most Popular People in the Tech World

Chain React 2018 is bringing people together from all over the world, giving you a chance to hang out with your online friends in person. Not only that, but there will be enough time to meet new people and say hi to the most popular people in the tech world.

7. Feel Like You Belong, Regardless of Who You Are or Your Experience Level

Chain React is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone (our Code of Conduct). It’s a welcoming and friendly environment, where the egos are left at the door and our speakers will cover a variety of skill levels.

First time attending a conference? We will have a dedicated space just for you! You will meet up with an Infinite Red ambassador who will welcome new conference attendees, show them around The Armory, and help you find places to eat. You’ll automatically have someone to hang out with if you are attending the conference by yourself.

8. Learn About the Future of React Native

You’ll have a lot of time to ask questions about the future of React Native to the people who are invested in its ongoing growth and future. Speakers will be in a dedicated space during breaks so you know where to reach them if you have questions after their talks.

9. Connect with the Infinite Red Team

Chain React is organized by Infinite Red, an app design and development company building projects in React Native, as well as popular open source projects, such as Ignite and Reactotron. Meet the founders and team of designers, engineers, and support staff; just look for the red shirts. (Unlike Star Trek, our red-shirt-wearing team members are indispensable and completely safe to approach with any questions or comments.)

Feel free to meet the team and say hi before the conference by joining the Infinite Red Slack community!

10. Swag, Prizes, and Giveaways

Like every conference, there will be swag, stickers, and prizes. Last year, our sponsors gave away drones, headphones, and tablets. There are some amazing things in store for this year! Follow the design team on dribbble to get a first look at this year’s swag.

And in case you need one more reason — two words: Gant Laborde. Google him.

Tickets are on sale now for both the conference and Beginner Track workshop. In the meantime, join the #react-native channel in the Infinite Red Slack community for React Native discussions, help, or just to say hi. We love to talk!
