Keeping up with the Jetsons
Hot tech moves fast; need tricks to keep up?

Imagine you’re a developer, and you begin pairing with a “friend” when suddenly!
You’re using a version of React Native that is totally 13 hours outdated! What’s with you man!?

Don’t let this happen to you!
Do you drool at the features listed in release candidates? Do you or someone you love frequently use the latest stable release? Do you find yourself reading updated functionality notes alone before noon?
I’m afraid you’re a cutting edge developer. There is no cure.

Normally, this is where I’d give you a 1–800 number for help. But alas, I’ve never been a good influence on others.
RSS Feeding the Need to Slack
Github releases are on an Atom RSS feed. Combine that with your Slack integrations, you can update your Slack channel regarding that technology and you’re set!
The Github Atom URL format is:
https://github.com/<OWNER>/<REPO>/releases.atom
So React Native would be https://github.com/facebook/react-native/releases.atom
Now add RSS to your Slack integrations:
Configure this plugin with the given URL and Slack channel you’d like to update! e.g. #reactnative-chat
