Top React Native Apps

We get a lot of questions at Infinite Red about what apps use React Native. It’s a natural question! After all, if you’re going to invest a lot of time, money, and effort into a framework, you want to know if it’s working well for others.
So that’s why we built and maintain a list of the top React Native apps on the Apple App and Google Play Stores. These apps span industries like Food & Drink, Social Networking, Healthcare, and Finance, and utilize technical functionalities including ecommerce, AI integration, and productivity. The breadth of this list is a testament to the versatility of React Native and the ways developers can maintain critical features on a non-native platform. We hope you find this list helpful to see the capabilities of React Native.
How we picked apps
We use the following criteria to help us decide which apps to include on our list:
- Overall user experience: based on a 4+ star rating on both app stores, illustrating that React Native performs well across multiple platforms
- Native “feel”: apps that take full advantage of the benefits of React Native look like mobile apps meant for mobile function
If you have suggestions for apps that should be included or apps that we may have missed, please let us know by sending an email to topapps@infinite.red.
Infinite Red Spotlight: Mercari and GasBuddy
Some of the apps on the list are near and dear to us at Infinite Red. We highlight Mercari and GasBuddy, two apps that we helped transition to React Native while maintaining high app ratings and performance. With the help of their teams, we were able to:
- Improve user experience and app usability in the React Native version of the app compared to the native version of the app that it is replacing
- Increase speed of App start on Android by 52% (Mercari)
- Transition the iOS and Android codebases to a unified React Native app
- Focus on Accessibility features
- Mitigate risks during development and rollout
Our research
This wasn’t very hard to put together. Between the React Native Showcase, Evan Bacon’s blog post (thank you to both!) and our community (Twitter and Slack), I was able to get a lot of different apps to curate through. As mentioned in the “How we picked apps” section, I was spoiled with a large list to select from and ended up narrowing my initial “Top 100+ React Native Apps” down to this refined list which I’ll be sure to keep updated.
My personal favoriate app on this list would have to be the Mercari app, mainly because I was fortunate to work on it. Other than that, it would have to be the Skylight App since its been very beneficial to my family and getting our calendars organized!
Thanks to Yulian Glukhenko for helping to put together the site.
